Rhodes Hitter

No one has ever seen a Rhodes Scholar like this.  Chalk one up for the “jocks.”  Myron Rolle, a safety at

Florida State Seminoles v Maryland Terrapins

Florida State won a Rhodes Scholarship today, and then, he got a police escort to the game to help his team beat the Maryland Terrapins.  His teammates dumped a cooler of ice water over him in the closing moments of FSU’s victory.  It was a victory indeed as Rolle won a scholarship and then helped his team win a big game.  With Rolle’s victory of the Rhodes Scholarship, he broke down numerous barriers and helped to change perceptions of the FSU athletic program which suffered from academic scandals during the off-season.  Congratulations Myron, and good luck.
