It looks like you could come up with your own list. These lists, of course, are pretty subjective. I just sat down with a pen and pad while watching some bowl game and used my collective memory to come up with the list. Then, I reworked it a bit later.

Had Nebraska knocked off Tech in that game, it would probably been on my list. Nebraska had a great season, and it looks like they are going to get better with Coach Pelini. As far as Chizek, I think he was the D Coordinator when Texas won the national title. He really has began to put together a "wow!" staff so far.

Thanks for the comments!

I remember the Clemson and Alabama game and how it looked like Clemson would win by two touchdowns. Alabama let the nation know they were for real; at least until the Sugar Bowl. Is Utah that good?

Another big game, at the time, was Alabama and Georgia. Alabama dominated but Georgia was the preseason pick as number 1.

The Buffalo win over Ball State was very memorable. I am a fan of Turner Gill and Jamie Williams being from Nebraska.

The Texas win over Oklahoma was a huge surprise for myself. It seems like the underdog wins that game more than not.

Oregon beating Oklahoma St was another surprise because I thought Oklahoma St. may be a Top 10 team.

The Texas Tech win in OT vs Nebraska was a disappointment but it made the NU players believe they could play with the best. The bowl game vs Clemson and the dramatics of the Colorado game are hard to beat for excitement.

The Gene Chizek hiring by Auburn was really unexpected. Was his status pretty high at Texas as a defensive coach?
