Now, normally, as you know, I do book reviews at
Collegefootballtopten.com. It is a little bit of a niche that I have that few other college football bloggers have. I am proud of that.
Today (1/24/09), I posted a book review of Mac Engel’s Texas Stadium at Pegasus News. I got to meet Mac a year ago December when he did a signing of his Tony Romo book, Tony Romo: America’s Next Quarterback, at the bookstore where I work. I really enjoyed visiting with him. Mac is the Dallas Cowboys beat writer for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and an adjunct professor for TCU’s Bob Schieffer School of Journalism.
This past fall, Mac released a book that recalls the history of Texas Stadium. As you know, Texas Stadium will no longer be the home for the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are headed for their new stadium in Arlington, TX.
If you are a die-hard fan, or just someone who appreciates the impact that “America’s Team” has made on the country as well as Dallas-Fort Worth, I urge you to browse on over to my bookstore and purchase a copy of Mac’s book Texas Stadium.
By the way, I launched a new website that will cover football in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. So far, it is a “soft launch.” I intend to do an “official” launch sometime in February. I will let readers here at CFTT know when that launch takes place. There will be prizes, so stay tuned. The domain for the new site is www.dfwfootball.net.
