The Horned Frogs successfully ran out the last 6 and a half minutes or so taking a knee on the last play of the game.  The victory snapped BYU’s 16 game winning streak which the longest in the nation.  It also snapped BYU’s conference winning streak that dates back to 2005.  The Frogs have an upset win over a top 10 team, but I am not sure how long it has been since they have done that or if they have done that.  The upset really wasn’t a close one either; TCU dominated from the beginnning.  BYU began to get their passing yards in the second half, but TCU stopped them on BYU in the red zone a couple of times.  I don’t think that it would be wise to be any where near the TCU campus tonight.  And, tomorrow, I’m not sure anyone will go to class.  Congratulations to TCU.

With a little less than 3 minutes to go, the TCU offense is draining the clock.  TCU had a scare when QB Andy Dalton fumbled the snap, but he jumped on the ball.  I’ll be back after the game for a wrap up.

TCU stopped BYU’s drive with another Nick Sanders INT in the end zone.  They took a few minutes off the clock before Anson Kelton pinned BYU inside the 5.  The game has just a little over 10 minutes to go with TCU leading 32-7.  There have been some personal foul penalites with the game getting a little out of hand.

The Frogs just had a long drive that took them almost to the end of the half where Joseph Turner, “Mr. Touchdown,” scored to put TCU ahead 32-7.  TCU kicker Evan Ross has missed 2 extra points tonight, but he continues to look good on field goals.  TCU was definitely trying to drain the clock and was quite successful.  Now, as the fourth quarter begins, BYU is going to have to pass more than run.  They had a nice drive in the 3rd quarter getting into the end zone.  The key was they got a little bit of a running game going.  Max Hall had two nice runs including one to get into the end zone.

TCU leads at half 23-0.  Andy Dalton who had no TD passes coming in the game has 2 TD passes in the first half.  The last one was on a fade to Walter Bryant who made a terrific catch in the corner of the end zone.  So far, the offense has done a better job of not having drive-killing penalites.  TCU seems to have improved their penalty problems thus far.

Jeremy Kerley has done everything.  The only mistake he made was on a sack he took in the 2nd quarter.  He probably should have thrown it away, but at least he didn’t turn the ball over.  Coming in to the game BYU QB Max Hall only had 4 INT’s.  TCU got one in the first half and just missed on three more.  TCU has taken advantage of the turnovers, and their passing game looks much better with Dalton back in the game.  So far, they are making it look easy, but BYU should make a good come back in the second half.

The Versus “experts” boldy predicted a BYU win.  We’ll see how it ends.  I think they seem impressed with TCU’s defense.  Once again the TCU defense is absolutely wiping out the BYU running game.  BYU has become one dimensional.

All of those Mike Shulz haters have to like the game he is calling.  It looks to me like TCU might have been playing opposum.  They have really opened up the offense tonight.  Shulz is doing everything.  He has attempted to have a vertical passing game, and they have gotten a couple of TD’s with it.  TCU has also introduced college football with the “wild frog.”  Kerley has shown he may be one of the most versatile players in the country.  Folks, Kerley is a true Sophomore.  In two years, if he keeps improving, the TCU Media Relations office might be designing a Heisman Trophy campaign.
